Gender strategy

DPOD has developed a gender strategy in relation to the projects supported by the Mini-programme in Africa and Asia. The gender strategy is intended to be a relatively simple strategy/guideline that can easily be transformed into something concrete in the projects supported by the membership organisations.

In order to gain knowledge for the gender strategy DPOD has made a review on the actual situation for women with disability, the relationship between women with disability and men in everyday life, as well as the relationship between women and men with disabilities within disabled peoples' organizations. This review forms the basis for the preparation of the gender strategy of DPOD.
