Personnel program
The Mini-Programme encompasses a Personnel Programme. This enables Danish disability organisations to post development workers abroad to serve, for instance, as liaison officers for various DPOD member organisations and their partners in the South, whether it be for several years or short periods.
The purposes of the postings are partly to
contribute to the organisational development of the partner
organisations in the developing countries, partly to organise new
groups of persons with disabilities and partly to build up the specific
knowledge of the partners. The purpose of the personnel programme is
also to contribute to the exchange of experiences between the partners
in the South and the partners in the North. Further, the purpose is to
improve the knowledge of development work in the DPOD member
organisations in Denmark and thereby further a popular basis and public
participation in the development activities in the disability
organisations.
- Timeframe? Development workers can either be posted for a
longer period of time (2-3 years) or a shorter period of time (3-6
months).
- Where? The posting can be to one of DPOD’s countries (Ghana, India, Nepal, Philippines, South Africa, Uganda and Vietnam) of cooperation and to an organisation that either DPOD or the member organisation has collaboration with.
