Ambassador's Project

Development objective:

To bring sustainable and affirmative change in the lives of the stutters by creating an environment which ensuring their rights providing opportunity for their holistic development.

 
Immediate Objectives:

  1. Identify and develop the capacity of 20 stutters as “Ambassadors” to reach to the community in an institutionalise way through Self Help Groups ,SHG in selected  8 districts of the country.
  2. Create awareness in the society relating to stuttering through the use of various mediums in the society

 

Target groups:

The primary target group of this project is stutters and their family members. 

The programme will seek to promote and facilitate the participation of Stutters, parents, teachers, business entrepreneurs, social workers, civil society organisations, government line agencies, and communities in identification the Stutters, assessing their situation, analysing the causes of identifying problems or rights violations, and acting effectively to solve the problems by themselves.  Participation in policy formulation will also be supported by encouraging forums that ensure that the voices of Stutters are heard and incorporated in decision-making processes, including local governance structures.
