Towards inclusion of Persons with disability in Nepal

Development objective:
To secure a higher degree of inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Nepal.
Immediate Objectives:
- NFD-N is strengthened as an effective, gender sensitive and united advocator of all PWDs in Nepal and lobbyist for implementation of the NPPAD.
- Disability rights issues are reflected in the new constitution through Constitutional Assembly of Nepal in line with the provisions mentioned in Ratified CRPD.
Target groups:
The primary target group comprises the rights holders such as PWDs in the community particularly women and children, DPOs, Self-help groups and parents in VDC level, disability activists, District Coordination Committee, Regional Committees and board of NFDN are also considered in this specification. The secondary target group is the Policy makers in the central level such as Constitutional Members, Government authorities and direct service providers in the VDC levels involve as duty bearers such as district and village level government authorities, local political parties and media.
